The question had popped in my head more than a few times over the years. LMA Grateful Dead forum on the ball I see, thanks for the link.
I can understand why jerry would drop it, the timing has to be on to hit it right, and more words to remember. It's just that it adds a sweet endearment to such a lost soul (the loser).

seriously, how burnt out do you have to be to not be able to remember those two words? I don't think even Jerry was that crispy. I think it was just perogative

You know, I don't where this SYW kid showed up from, but he's on the ball it seems to me...not that he needs confirmation from the likes of us two; hmmm, in fact, he better hope no one reads we even mentioned anything along these lines or he's toast.

Hope all is well--I am experimenting with my new Canon Rebel and having a blast! Wasn't that much $ and with elb's help, I think I am on my way to improving my digital DoF!

Hey! Nice camera choice WT!! I have an XSi to go along with my 40D. The Rebel series are some great cameras!!

If you any want any input on lens selection - feel free to give me a shout. I may not be the highest wattage bulb in the chandelier, but i DO know my lenses quite well (Sigma, Tamron, Canon, and Tokina) - got too damn many too - lol.. (though i do not mean to imply that you do not by any means)

Have a freakin blast with shooting! The AF on those cameras are pretty good, so you should have some fun!!

STWife is a great example of how it IS possible to join this forum without being a total putz and crying about the banter here. This person joined right in, understanding how to mix and/or filter real information with a pinch of BS. It ain't that hard, yet so many new posters have whined about the KIND of welcome they have received.

Congrats SYW!! Nice to know ya.

Absolutely endorse what you say there, Mr Flow. And just in case no one else has said so yet, I think we could say exactly the same about ringolevio, who has also slotted right in with a nice line in self deprecation coupled with a distinct unwillingness to take crap from the peanut gallery. Both posters are a distinctly welcome addition to the forum.

I extended an invitation to the exclusive (??) "ianity" club, mis-spellers (present co excepted) one and all.

Uh oh, SYW--if HFlow's talking bout you, now you've really got to start worrying...

Seriously, though, if I can ask SYW, have you "lurked" here for a bit, or did you just stumble upon the Forum and jump right in? Or had you tried some of the others and just settle on this one after trying a few? Just curious...as you may have gathered, some "newbies" (term used affectionately, trust me) have expressed dismay at how folks respond here initially...

No, i hadn't lurked here at all. I initially started an account to post show reviews. I can't remember what led me to the forums But the GD forum is the first, and for the most part, only forum i've participated in.

It's fun, we're all talking about my favorite band...even though i never got to see Jerry, I still enjoy reading and posting whenever I feel like my perceptions or experiences can bring something to the table. I've enjoyed it so far.

Anyways, I appreciate the welcome yall.
